Chairman's Message
Hembe Terhide Theophilus
Chairman / Director
It is with great pride that I present AFROBUDDIE LIMITED, a Nigerian agro-processing enterprise dedicated to transforming sheanuts into premium unrefined shea butter, while building inclusive value chains that uplift rural women and strengthen food systems across our communities.
Since our incorporation in September 2016, we have pursued a clear purpose: to add value where it matters most, at the intersection of agriculture, rural industry, and market access. Our flagship operation converts quality sheanuts into natural (unrefined) shea butter in partnership with PrimeValue Agro Cooperative Society, a women-led cooperative whose members are central to our sourcing and primary processing activities. Alongside shea, we undertake complementary cleaning, drying, packaging, and distribution of cassava, ginger, and pepper, products that reinforce our agro-processing platform and deepen our engagement with smallholder producers.
AFROBUDDIE is built on the conviction that Africa's agricultural wealth must be processed closer to the farm gate. By investing in processing capacity, quality systems, and market linkages, we reduce post-harvest losses, create dignified employment (particularly for women), and position Nigerian natural products for domestic and export markets. Our approach is deliberately practical: we focus on what we can execute well today, while charting a disciplined path toward groundnut oil processing, maize processing, and contract processing services as future growth pillars.
This Company Profile is prepared for investors, development finance institutions, commercial banks, development partners, corporate buyers, and strategic allies who share our ambition. It sets out who we are, how we operate, the markets we serve, and the partnership opportunities before us. We invite you to walk this journey with us, as capital partners, off-takers, technical collaborators, or development allies, as we scale a business that is commercially sound, socially inclusive, and rooted in the real economy of Nigeria.
Thank you for your interest in AFROBUDDIE LIMITED. We look forward to building lasting value together.
Yours in partnership,
Hembe Terhide Theophilus

How We Work
The AFROBUDDIE Value Chain
AFROBUDDIE operates at the heart of Nigeria's shea and agro-commodity economy. Our business model integrates upstream community sourcing with midstream processing and downstream market access, ensuring that value is created and retained along a transparent chain.
- 1
Sustainable Sourcing
Sheanuts are sourced through structured engagement with PrimeValue Agro Cooperative Society and aligned producer networks. Emphasis is placed on quality nuts, traceable community supply, and fair commercial terms that incentivize good post-harvest handling.
- 2
Primary Handling and Preparation
Nuts undergo cleaning, sorting, and drying under supervised conditions to reduce moisture-related spoilage and prepare feedstock for butter extraction. Women cooperative members play a central role at this stage.
- 3
Processing into Unrefined Shea Butter
Processing converts prepared sheanuts into natural (unrefined) shea butter using the Company's processing setup, with attention to hygiene, process control, and consistency of the finished product.
- 4
Quality Checks and Packaging
Finished butter is assessed against internal quality parameters and packed in formats suited to bulk and branded channels. Complementary agro-commodities follow parallel cleaning, drying, and packaging protocols.
- 5
Branding, Marketing and Distribution
Products are positioned for domestic wholesale, institutional, and retail-oriented channels, with progressive readiness for export markets as certifications and buyer requirements are met.
- 6
Market Feedback and Continuous Improvement
Buyer and partner feedback informs process upgrades, packaging improvements, and future capacity investments, closing the loop between market demand and production practice.
Partnership with PrimeValue Agro Cooperative Society
